When do I intervene?
Whenever medically necessary. I try very hard to make sure my patients understand what options they have before we decide together what happens next.
What is my approach to pain management?
My goal is for each patient to have the birth experience they want. I help each patient decide what is best as they go through labor – whether that is an epidural, IV pain medications or emotional support.
How do my patients describe me?
Understanding, knowledgeable, caring and, hopefully, funny at times.
Why do I practice obstetrics?
I practice obstetrics because it is a blast and little babies are adorable. What an amazing privilege to be present for one of the most memorable experiences in a family’s life. Watching parents and families experience the awe and wonder of birth is incredible.
