I intervene when mother nature doesn't go well.  

What is my approach to pain management?  
My approach depends mostly on my patient's wishes and needs.  Delivery will always be uncomfortable but does not need to be painful.

How do my patients describe me?  
Hopefully they see me as competent and caring.

Why do I practice obstetrics?  
Practicing OB beats working for a living.  I enjoy the variety, the close patient contact and the generally good result of what we do.
