Family Physician
Number of Deliveries: 150
When do I intervene?
I intervene when it is medically necessary for the well-being of the mother or her child.
What is my approach to pain management?
I want women to be well informed of their options including comfort measures as well as medical intervention like IV pain medications or epidurals. The decision regarding pain control lies with the mother. I support my patients with natural and medical pain management.
How do my patients describe me?
My patients describe me as kind and compassionate.
Why do I practice obstetrics?
Obstetrics is one of the best parts of my job. Seeing the joy in a new parent's face and being a part of that experience is extremely moving. Being a family practice physician, I have the honor of being a part of a woman's prenatal care, delivering her child and then caring for that child as he/she grows. If I am lucky, I may even be able to deliver that child's children. To be such an important part of a family's care is a true privilege.
